Carter LeCraw, President
and CEO, founded American Values Investments (formerly
LeCraw Investment Management, Inc.) in January of 1996.
He began his career in the financial planning and investment
business in 1981, and received the Certified Financial
Planner (CFP) designation in 1987.
Prior to entering the financial services business, Carter
taught school and spent four years on active duty as
a Supply Corps Officer in the United States Navy. He
attended Georgia Tech on an athletic scholarship for
tennis and graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Industrial Management.
Carter, and his wife Dr. Deborah E. LeCraw, have
a son, Peter. Carter still enjoys playing tennis and
also serves as a volunteer Sunday School teacher at Grace
Fellowship Church in Johnson City, TN.

George Parks, Vice-President, Director and Operations
Manager joined American Values
Investments team in March 2001. He earned the Certified
Financial Planner designation in March 2004.
Prior to entering the financial services business, George
spent 20 years working for Belk, Inc., a privately owned
department store group. He began his career as a management
trainee and advanced to Division President. He graduated
from Davidson College in 1980 majoring in Economics.
George, and his wife Beth P. Parks, have a daughter,
Kimberly. George is currently a Trustee for Central Presbyterian
Church where he also has served as an Elder. He has served
as a member of the Board of Trustees of King College,
as director of the local United Way and as a director
of the local Chamber of Commerce.

Russell E. Miller, CFA and Chief Investment
Counsel, joined American Values Investments in January
2003. During more than 30 years in financial services,
he worked for Alex. Brown & Sons, T. Rowe Price
Associates and Prudential Insurance Company. He was
an energy investment analyst during most of his career
and more briefly an energy investment banker, where
he co-managed a team that did equity offerings that
raised about $500 million.
Russ graduated from Columbia Business School (MBA,
Finance - 1966) and Bowdoin College (AB, Economics
- 1964). He served in leadership positions in ministries
(CMBC, Navigators and the local church), professional
associations (Petroleum Investment Analysts and local
investment groups) and local business & political
groups.
Russ and his wife, Nancy, have four children and a
grandson.
