IX.  Manage model portfolios using a team approach

To implement American Hero Investing, AVI’s three-person Investment Committee includes:

• George Parks, CFP, Investment Committee Chairman - three years of investment experience plus 20 years in department store management,

• Carter B. LeCraw, CFP, CEO & Founder of AVI - over 20 years investment experience in securities and real estate, and

• Russell Miller, CFA, Chief Investment Counsel - over 25 years of investment experience.

The Investment Committee meets regularly to monitor the performance of AVI investments, make portfolio changes when appropriate and update the long-term AVI investment strategy when appropriate.  AVI does not attempt to time the market, such as by changing money market fund holdings.  Performance relative to the benchmark(s) is studied in an attempt to take actions that will provide good risk-adjusted investment returns.  In the increasingly complex and dynamic investment environment, AVI believes that the discipline and accountability of good teamwork are essential to long-term investment success.
