VIII. SELECT STOCKS OF COMPANIES WITH A SOLID BUSINESS MODEL
It is a socialist idea that making profits is a vice.
I consider the real vice is making losses.
Winston Churchill
Putting principle before profit and having a noble purpose does not mean putting your head in the sand. Although financial gain
should not be the main consideration; it is important to make monetary considerations an integral part of selecting stocks. It only
makes sense that if a company has a solid, financially prudent business model it can better support a noble purpose and extend its
influence to a larger group of people. It also means a better likelihood of good financial returns to the investor. This important
principle will allow Values-Driven investors to have their “head in the clouds” while having their “feet on the ground”.
